Crescent was founded by Noor Al-Rashid after a box of letters arrived from her grandmother's apartment in Damascus. Inside: recipes, phone numbers, and a single page of calligraphy — a verse her grandmother had copied out by hand the year she left the country.
She didn't want to frame it. She wanted to wear it.
The first Crescent pendant was cut from that page. The rest of the collection came country by country, verse by verse, over the next eighteen months.
